Product Details:
Uses:
Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter offers a wide combination of features, making it useful for disc cutting applications, primarily conductive materials including stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, Copper Monel, titanium, brass & aluminium in metalworking, maintenance and repair industries.
Features:
- Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter is suitable for cutting sheet metals and other metal workpieces in metalworking, maintenance and repair applications.
- It has a large display for better readability in poorly lit and bright light conditions.
- Further, it has a built-in gas optimiser with automatic voltage detection of up to 480 V.
- The plasma cutter is equipped with a separable torch handle & a lead for easy maintenance and replacement.
- It delivers up to 7.6 kW rated output and 50 percent duty cycle at 60A current.
- Designed for durability and portability with the integral multi-handle, this plasma cutter is capable of cutting metals having a maximum thickness of 5/8 inches.
Compatible Accessories:
- Thermal Dynamics 7-5680 Torch Handle: This 7-5680 torch handle from Thermal Dynamics is the perfect combination of advanced technology and end-user insight. It also delivers class cutting arc length and is suitable for multiple applications.
Standards and Approvals:
- Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter meets ISO standards, as well as complies with CSA, CE and CCC certifications for quality & durable performance and user safety.
Installation:
- Select a place that is safe and permits freedom of movement.
- Plug in the cutter, ensuring the unit is switched off.
- Connect the external air compressor to the plasma cutter, ensuring that the stream of plasma remains under high pressure. To attach the fittings, withdraw the outer flange of the female connection and insert the male connection.
- Turn the airflow and spin the lever ninety degrees perpendicular to the air line to inline.
- Set the metal which is to be used on the table and connect the ground clamp close to the place of cutting.
- Turn on the machine by flipping the switch on position which is located behind the plasma cutter.
- Set the current and cut the metal by using the trigger configured on the gun for activating the plasma cutter.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Can we cut stones with a plasma cutter?
A. Yes, Plasma cutters can cut parts from stone, metal, copper, foam, graphite composites, brass, granite and rubber.
Q. Do all plasma cutters need an air compressor?
A. All plasma cutters require an air compressor to generate enough air pressure for the task. Users need to buy a separate air compressor for a plasma cutter without a built-in air source.
Q. What do you need to run a plasma cutter?
A. To operate a plasma cutter, a user needs to wear plasma shades & a welding jacket and gloves to prevent accidental injuries.
Q. Who invented thermal dynamics?
A. Thermal Dynamics pioneers James Browning and Merle Thorpe incorporated Thermal Dynamics in 1957.
